 e broad fields of\; health\, social care\, housing\, local government\, co
 mmunity development\, community pharmacy\, education and the 3rd sector\n\

 ge and understanding of HIV and related stigma\, thus enabling participant
 s to engage confidently\, competently\, and potentially challenge stigmati
 sing behaviour\, in conversations with their client group.\n\nBrief Descri
 ption\n\nBlood Borne Viruses continue to play a prominent role in the hea
 lth profile of Tayside. Whilst there have been a number of exciting develo
 pments in BBV care and treatment\, the general population are largely unaw
 are of them\, leading to negative attitudes and high levels of unnecessary
  stigma.\n\nThe session will provide a brief but comprehensive overview o
 f HIV &amp\; Hep C transmission\, and how to reduce risk. The session wil
 l also explore HIV and related intersectional stigma.  We have designed t
 his session to support engagement with your team and service users.\n\nLea
 rning Outcomes\n\n 	Participants will be aware of HIV &amp\; Hep C and gai
 n greater understanding of them\n 	Will be able to explain what HIV &amp\;
  Hep C are\, how they can be transmitted\, and become familiar with curren
 t prevention methods\n 	Participants will gain insight into the experience
  of living with a blood borne virus\, and explore their role in providing 
 practical and meaningful support\, reducing stigma around HIV &amp\; BBVs 
 and those living with them.\n
