         \n\nTo enable participants to engage confidently\, competen
 tly\, and challenge stigmatising behaviour\, in conversations around BBV t
 ransmission\, risk reduction and care\, with their client group.\n\nBrief 
 Description\n\nBlood Borne Viruses continue to play a prominent role in t
 he health profile of Tayside. Whilst there have been a number of exciting 
 developments in BBV care and treatment\, the general population are largel
 y unaware of them\, leading to high levels of unnecessary stigma.\n\nThe s
 ession will provide a brief but comprehensive overview of BBVs (Hepatiti
 s C and HIV) their transmission\, and how to reduce risk. The session wi
 ll also explore HIV related stigma.  We have designed this session to sup
 port your engagement with your team and service users.\n\nLearning Outcome
 s\n\n 	Participants will be aware of BBVs and gain greater understanding o
 f them\n 	Will be able to explain what BBVs are\, how they can be transmit
 ted\, and become familiar with current prevention methods\n 	Participants 
 will gain insight into the experience of living with a BBV\, and explore t
 heir role in providing support along with reducing stigma which surrounds
  BBVs and those living with them\n
