  be relevant to any non-HIV and Hepatitis-specialist staff who are working
  in the broad fields of\; health\, social care\, housing\, local governmen
 t\, community development\, community pharmacy\, education and the 3rd sec

 nowledge and understanding of HIV and related stigma\, thus enabling parti
 cipants to engage confidently\, competently\, and potentially challenge st
 igmatising behaviour\, in conversations with their client group.\n\nBrief 
 Description\n\nBlood Borne Viruses continue to play a prominent role in t
 he health profile of Tayside. Whilst there have been a number of exciting 
 developments in BBV care and treatment\, the general population are largel
 y unaware of them\, leading to negative attitudes and high levels of unnec
 essary stigma.\n\nThe session will provide a brief but comprehensive over
 view of HIV &amp\; Hep C transmission\, and how to reduce risk. The sessi
 on will also explore HIV and related intersectional stigma.  We have desi
 gned this session to support engagement with your team and service users.\
 n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n 	Participants will be aware of HIV &amp\; Hep C a
 nd gain greater understanding of them\n 	Will be able to explain what HIV 
 &amp\; Hep C are\, how they can be transmitted\, and become familiar with 
 current prevention methods\n 	Participants will gain insight into the expe
 rience of living with a blood borne virus\, and explore their role in prov
 iding practical and meaningful support\, reducing stigma around HIV &amp\;
  BBVs and those living with them.\n
