 list staff who are working in the broad fields of\; health\, social care\,
  housing\, local government\, community development\, community pharmacy\,

      \n\nTo increase knowledge and understanding of HIV and related st
 igma\, thus enabling participants to engage confidently\, competently\, an
 d potentially challenge stigmatising behaviour\, in conversations with the
 ir client group.\n\nBrief Description\n\nBlood Borne Viruses continue to p
 lay a prominent role in the health profile of Tayside. Whilst there have 
 been a number of exciting developments in BBV care and treatment\, the gen
 eral population are largely unaware of them\, leading to negative attitude
 s and high levels of unnecessary stigma.\n\nThe session will provide a br
 ief but comprehensive overview of HIV &amp\; Hep C transmission\, and how 
 to reduce risk. The session will also explore HIV and related intersectio
 nal stigma.  We have designed this session to support engagement with you
 r team and service users.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n 	Participants will be a
 ware of HIV &amp\; Hep C and gain greater understanding of them\n 	Will be
  able to explain what HIV &amp\; Hep C are\, how they can be transmitted\,
  and become familiar with current prevention methods\n 	Participants will 
 gain insight into the experience of living with a blood borne virus\, and 
 explore their role in providing practical and meaningful support\, reducin
 g stigma around HIV &amp\; BBVs and those living with them.\n
