 titis-specialist staff who are working in the broad fields of\; health\, s
 ocial care\, housing\, local government\, community development\, communit
 y pharmacy\, education and the 3rd sector\n\nMaximum Number of Participant

            \n\nTo increase knowledge and understanding of HIV an
 d related stigma\, thus enabling participants to engage confidently\, comp
 etently\, and potentially challenge stigmatising behaviour\, in conversati
 ons with their client group.\n\nBrief Description\n\nBlood Borne Viruses c
 ontinue to play a prominent role in the health profile of Tayside. Whilst
  there have been a number of exciting developments in BBV care and treatme
 nt\, the general population are largely unaware of them\, leading to negat
 ive attitudes and high levels of unnecessary stigma.\n\nThe session will p
 rovide a brief but comprehensive overview of HIV &amp\; Hepatitis transmis
 sion and how to reduce risk. The session will also explore HIV and related
  intersectional stigma.  We have designed this session to support engagem
 ent with your team and service users.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n 	Participan
 ts will be aware of HIV &amp\; Hepatitis and gain greater understanding of
  them\n 	Will be able to explain what HIV &amp\; Hepatitis are\, how they 
 can be transmitted\, and become familiar with current prevention methods\n
  	Participants will gain insight into the experience of living with a bloo
 d borne virus\, and explore their role in providing practical and meaningf
 ul support\, reducing stigma around HIV &amp\; BBVs and those living with 
 them.\n
