 are working in the broad fields of\; health\, social care\, housing\, loca
 l government\, community development\, community pharmacy\, education and

 increase knowledge and understanding of HIV and related stigma\, enabling 
 participants to engage confidently and competently\, and to challenge stig
 matising attitudes and behaviours where appropriate.\n\nBrief Description\
 n\nBlood Borne Viruses continue to play a prominent role in the health pr
 ofile of Tayside. Whilst there have been a number of exciting developments
  in BBV care and treatment\, the general population are largely unaware of
  them\, leading to negative attitudes and high levels of unnecessary stigm
 a.\n\nThe session will provide a brief but comprehensive overview of HIV &
 amp\; Hepatitis transmission and how to reduce risk. The session will also
  explore HIV and related intersectional stigma.  We have designed this se
 ssion to support engagement with your team and service users.\n\nLearning 
 Outcomes\n\n 	Participants will be aware of HIV &amp\; Hepatitis and gain 
 greater understanding of them\n 	Will be able to explain what HIV &amp\; H
 epatitis are\, how they can be transmitted\, and become familiar with curr
 ent prevention methods\n 	Participants will gain insight into the experien
 ce of living with a blood borne virus\, and explore their role in providin
 g practical and meaningful support\, reducing stigma around HIV &amp\; BBV
 s and those living with them.\n
