SUMMARY:Naloxone Training for Trainers - Dundee Session
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE It is preferable that you be trained to administer 
 Naloxone prior to attending this training which is to supply Naloxone \n\
 nA ONE &amp\; HALF DAY in-depth workshop looking at naloxone and the effec
 t it has on reducing drug-related deaths.\n\nLocation - Board Room\, The C
 entre\, South Ward Road\, Dundee (TUES 14th 9am-5pm AND WED 15th 9am-2pm)\
 n\nAimed At\n\nThis training is suitable for staff working directly with p
 eople who use drugs\, friends and family and community members.\n\nLearnin
 g Outcomes\n\nBy the end of the session participants will be able to:\n\n 
 	Demonstrate a clear understanding of evidenced based overdose prevention 
 and naloxone messages\n 	Identify observable signs and symptoms of a depre
 ssant overdose and advise of the appropriate response accordingly\n 	Demon
 strate the skills and knowledge to provide training and to supply (if appl
 icable) take-home naloxone to people who use opiates\n 	Demonstrate an und
 erstanding of the Tayside Take Home Naloxone programme.\n\nThis course wil
 l cover the core areas of drug-related deaths on a global\, national and l
 ocal scale and opiate overdose prevention\, whilst exploring methods and m
 odels of community-based delivery and adult learning.\n\nThe training will
  provide an in-depth look at naloxone\, its actions\, kit assembly and adm
 inistration with specific attention to overdose intervention and basic lif
 e support with naloxone.\n\nFollowing this training\, participants will be
  able to train people at risk of opioid overdose /their families etc\, in 
 overdose prevention\, intervention and naloxone.\n\nIf you have completed 
 a T4T Naloxone session previously\, please don't book on to this session -
  we will be providing refresher sessions in the near future \n\nGet in tou
