SUMMARY:Naloxone Training for Trainers (REFRESHER SESSION) - Dundee
DESCRIPTION:**This session is a refresher session for those who have alread
 y attended Naloxone training for trainers - Naloxone trainers framework st
 ates that you should receive a refresher training after 2 years**\n\nA mor
 ning refresher session\, taking another look at naloxone and the effect it
  has on reducing drug-related deaths.\n\nLocation - Board Room\, The Centr
 e\, South Ward Road\, Dundee\n\nAimed At\n\nThis training is suitable for 
 staff who have previously attended our training for trainers session (2 ye
 ars ago or more)\, but would like a refresher. They should be working dire
 ctly with people who use drugs\, friends and family and community members.
 \n\nLearning Outcomes\n\nBy the end of the session participants will be ab
 le to:\n\n 	Demonstrate a clear understanding of evidenced based overdose 
 prevention and naloxone messages\n 	Identify observable signs and symptoms
  of a depressant overdose and advise of the appropriate response according
 ly\n 	Demonstrate the skills and knowledge to provide training and to supp
 ly (if applicable) take-home naloxone to people who use opiates\n 	Demonst
 rate an understanding of the Tayside Take Home Naloxone programme.\n\nThis
  course will cover the core areas of drug-related deaths on a global\, nat
 ional and local scale and opiate overdose prevention\, whilst exploring me
 thods and models of community-based delivery and adult learning.\n\nThe tr
 aining will provide an in-depth look at naloxone\, its actions\, kit assem
 bly and administration with specific attention to overdose intervention an
 d basic life support with naloxone.\n\nFollowing this training\, participa
 nts will be able to train people at risk of opioid overdose /their familie
 s etc\, in overdose prevention\, intervention and naloxone.\n\nGet in touc
