SUMMARY:Naloxone Training for Trainers (REFRESHER SESSION) - Dundee Session
DESCRIPTION:**This session is a refresher session for those who have alread
 y attended Naloxone training for trainers - Naloxone trainers framework st
 ates that you should receive a refresher training after 2 years**\n\nA mor
 ning refresher session\, taking another look at naloxone and the effect it
  has on reducing drug-related deaths.\n\nLocation - The Centre\, South War
 d Road\, Dundee\n\nAimed At\n\nThis training is suitable for staff who hav
 e previously attended our training for trainers session (2 years ago or mo
 re)\, but would like a refresher. They should be working directly with peo
 ple who use drugs\, friends and family and community members.\n\nLearning 
 Outcomes\n\nBy the end of the session participants will be able to:\n\n 	D
 emonstrate a clear understanding of evidenced based overdose prevention an
 d naloxone messages\n 	Identify observable signs and symptoms of a depress
 ant overdose and advise of the appropriate response accordingly\n 	Demonst
 rate the skills and knowledge to provide training and to supply (if applic
 able) take-home naloxone to people who use opiates\n 	Demonstrate an under
 standing of the Tayside Take Home Naloxone programme.\n\nThis course will 
 cover the core areas of drug-related deaths on a global\, national and loc
 al scale and opiate overdose prevention\, whilst exploring methods and mod
 els of community-based delivery and adult learning.\n\nThe training will p
 rovide an in-depth look at naloxone\, its actions\, kit assembly and admin
 istration with specific attention to overdose intervention and basic life 
 support with naloxone.\n\nFollowing this training\, participants will be a
 ble to train people at risk of opioid overdose /their families etc\, in ov
