SUMMARY:Naloxone Training for Trainers (REFRESHER SESSION) - Perth
DESCRIPTION:**This session is a refresher session for those who have alread
 y attended Naloxone training for trainers - Naloxone trainers framework st
 ates that you should receive a refresher training after 2 years**\n\nA mor
 ning refresher session\, taking another look at naloxone and the effect it
  has on reducing drug-related deaths.\n\nLocation - James Murray Suite 1&a
 mp\;2\, Murray Royal Hospital\, Perth\n\nAimed At\n\nThis training is suit
 able for staff who have previously attended our training for trainers sess
 ion (2 years ago or more)\, but would like a refresher. They should be wor
 king directly with people who use drugs\, friends and family and community
  members.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\nBy the end of the session participants w
 ill be able to:\n\n 	Demonstrate a clear understanding of evidenced based 
 overdose prevention and naloxone messages\n 	Identify observable signs and
  symptoms of a depressant overdose and advise of the appropriate response 
 accordingly\n 	Demonstrate the skills and knowledge to provide training an
 d to supply (if applicable) take-home naloxone to people who use opiates\n
  	Demonstrate an understanding of the Tayside Take Home Naloxone programme
 .\n\nThis course will cover the core areas of drug-related deaths on a glo
 bal\, national and local scale and opiate overdose prevention\, whilst exp
 loring methods and models of community-based delivery and adult learning.\
 n\nThe training will provide an in-depth look at naloxone\, its actions\, 
 kit assembly and administration with specific attention to overdose interv
 ention and basic life support with naloxone.\n\nFollowing this training\, 
 participants will be able to train people at risk of opioid overdose /thei
 r families etc\, in overdose prevention\, intervention and naloxone.\n\nGe
