  STI Update 2025 Webinar
DESCRIPTION:This is a one hour online webinar on Wednesday 22nd October fro
 m 10am until 11am \n\nThis session is delivered by Graeme Cockburn - Heal
 th Improvement Officer within the SH&amp\;BBV MCN \n\nThis session provid
 es an up-to-date overview of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted in
 fections (STIs)\, including HIV in in Tayside\, in the context of the late
 st Public Health Scotland data\, the session will:\n\n 	Explore national a
 nd local trends in teenage pregnancy\, including outcomes of birth and ter
 mination\, and how these are shaped by social determinants such as depriva
 tion.\n 	Review patterns in chlamydia and gonorrhoea diagnoses\, including
  age\, gender\, and sexual orientation trends\, the implications for servi
 ce delivery and prevention work\, and signposting on how to access testing
 .\n 	Consider the policy context\, including the Scottish Government’s P
 regnancy and Parenthood in Young People Strategy\, and how this is relevan
 t to practice locally.\n 	Highlight the role of education\, contraception 
 access\, and stigma reduction in supporting young people’s sexual health
  and wellbeing.\n\nThe update is aimed at non-sexual health-specialist sta
 ff across health\, education\,  third sector and social care\, who have a
 n interest in improving sexual health outcomes for the people they work wi
 th. \n\nParticipants will gain an evidence-informed understanding of curr
 ent challenges and opportunities\, equipping them to better support people
  and contribute to reducing health inequalities.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\nB
