It’s Natural To Be Curious…
•Children and young people often have lots of questions about growing up, bodies, relationships and sexual health. These can start at a very young age as children start to take notice of themselves and others.
•The amount and type of information they need will increase and change as they grow in response to their development and to the messages they receive from elsewhere
•Most children are naturally curious and will ask “what?” and “why” questions as soon as they develop language
•The way we answer (or don’t answer) can send a really clear message
•Understanding how children grow and develop can help to frame responses or learning in a way that’s relevant and age appropriate
