Target Audience
Staff who support children and young people with Learning Disabilities or ASN on a regular basis and would like increased knowledge in this area.

NB – If you are delivering regular programmes or sessions with the people (adults or young people) using your service around sexual health and relationships we offer a longer training (Making Choices Keeping Safe) Please don’t sign up for both of these as there will be some repetition.

Aim
This course will increase your knowledge and confidence around the importance of positive communication with children and young people with LD and/or ASN around growing up, relationships and sexual health

Learning Outcomes

• Gain knowledge and confidence around the importance of effective, age and stage appropriate communication around growing up, relationships & sexual health with young people
• Highlight key content areas for sex and relationship work with people with additional support needs
• Gain awareness of resources
